Privacy Policy
Edition of 3 июня 2026 г.
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes what data the I'm Alive app (the "App", "Service") collects and processes, for what purposes and on what terms. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Policy.
I'm Alive is a wellness check-in service: you check in daily with one tap, and if a check-in is not received within the set period, your trusted contacts receive a notification so they can check whether everything is OK. This Policy accounts for the specifics of such a scenario.
1. What data we collect
1.1. Account data
You sign in to the App via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. From the authorization provider we receive the minimum set of data needed to identify your account:
- email address;
- display name (if provided by the provider);
- your user identifier at the authorization provider.
We do not receive or store your Google or Apple account password.
1.2. Profile data and contacts
- the name you enter in the App;
- email addresses of trusted contacts who should be notified if you don't check in on time;
- control period settings (after how many days a missing check-in is considered alarming) and reminder times.
Important: by providing contacts' addresses, you confirm that you have obtained their consent to receive notifications about your wellbeing.
1.3. Check-in data
- the date and time of your last "I'm alive" check-in;
- the calculated wellness status (all good / deadline approaching / deadline missed), computed from your settings.
1.4. Technical data for notifications
- the device push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — needed to deliver reminders and service push notifications to your device;
- basic technical information required for the Service to work (for example, the device platform).
The App does not collect location data, does not access your address book contacts and does not track your activity for advertising purposes.
2. Purposes of data processing
We process the listed data solely in order to:
- enable sign-in to the App and identify your account;
- send you check-in reminders (push notifications and local reminders) at your chosen time;
- determine whether a check-in deadline has been missed and, if necessary, notify your designated contacts by email;
- synchronize your settings across devices;
- maintain the operability and security of the Service.
We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with third parties for advertising.
3. Sharing data with contacts
The Service's key feature is notifying trusted persons. If you have not checked in within the set period, a notification is sent to the email addresses you provided, stating that there has been no check-in from you for a long time, suggesting they check on you. Such an email may contain your name and the fact of a missed check-in. The content and fact of the check-ins themselves are not disclosed beyond what is necessary.
4. Sharing data with third parties
To operate the Service we use third-party infrastructure providers that process data strictly on our behalf:
- Google / Apple — authorization (Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In);
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — delivery of push notifications;
- email delivery service — delivery of notifications to contacts.
We may also disclose data where this is directly required by law.
5. Data storage and protection
- data is stored on the secure servers of the Service and partly on your device (the app's local storage);
- data transfer between the App and the server is performed over a secure connection (HTTPS);
- we store personal data for as long as your account exists and as long as it is necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- view and change your data in the App settings;
- add and remove contacts, change the control period and reminder times;
- sign out; on sign-out the device push token is deleted and notifications to that device stop;
- request deletion of your account and related data by writing to us using the contacts below.
7. Children
The App is not intended for persons under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from such users.
8. Changes to the Policy
We may update this Policy. The current version is always available on this page; the date of the latest revision is shown at the top. We will try to additionally inform you of material changes.
9. Contacts
